It is a first come first serve open camping area so it is difficult to guarantee where we will be as this area has become a popular place over the last several years.
We will be on CB channel 3. Cell coverage is spotty there so no promises.
RV's are capable of driving up the canyon. GENERATORS WILL BE OFF AFTER 10PM FOR SOT EVENT ATTENDEES OUT OF RESPECT FOR OTHERS BOTH IN OUR GROUP AND OTHERWISE.
Minimum Required Equipment: 4x4, tow strap, 33+" tires, 1 traction aid, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, front and rear tow points, tool kit, drinking water, etc.
Notes: These trails are rated as "Most Difficult".
We will have a "Easy" run (moderate trail) led by Tim. He will take Phillips Loop, go to Sweetwater and possibly a few other fun and little known areas.
We will be camping in Mule Canyon Friday 4/10 - Sunday 4/12. It is dry camping, no facilities though gas and food are near by. Please bring firewood if you plan on camping.
Sons of Thunder will provide a pizza dinner Saturday night at Peggy Sue's at approximately 5:00pm on Saturday.
There will be a raffle during the dinner with lots of neat prizes. Tickets will be $1.00/ea and there are no minimums or maximums on ticket purchases.
Kids 13 and under will receive 1 free raffle ticket each.(please email info@sonsofthunder4x4.com to let us know how many children you have coming so we can try to plan accordingly).
