A. This club shall be known as Sons of Thunder 4 Wheelers.
B. The purpose of the club shall be to come together in meetings, trail runs, shows, race events and places in foreign lands to utilize our vehicles in exploration and travel of our deserts, forests, and mountains, places that GOD created for us, to make ourselves and our vehicles available to render aid and assistance in times of emergencies and to show people in need, the love of Jesus Christ.
A. Charter Qualifications: Every member must have the use of a four‑wheel drive vehicle, a valid driver's license and insurance.
B. New Members: If membership is desired, a membership application must be completed and submitted to the club. Each individual who is accepted by the club for membership must pay the appropriate dues.
C. Dues: All members pay dues. New member dues are $60.00 you will receive:
Recent news letter, Sons of Thunder T‑shirt, two large stickers, and two small stickers All members receive yearly calendar of events, and full E-ring privileges.
New member dues are payable within 30 days of acceptance into the club.
New member’s dues will be prorated at six months for the calendar year.
Renewal dues are $45.00 and payable by February 1, if not paid within two (2) months the person returns to new member status, and will be dropped from the E-ring.
D. Voting members must attend at least four (4) meetings per calendar year.
E. Public/Moral Responsibilities: Each member is expected to uphold and maintain the good name and public image of Sons of Thunder 4 Wheelers. Any member violating this rule in excess will be dealt with accordingly. Problems will be voiced to the Grievance Committee (section III B).
A. Number: There will be four officers: President, Vice‑President, Secretary and Treasurer. Vice President will be optional. For officer duties see the “Position Responsibilities" form. In addition to the normal officers there will be a Trail Boss, who, either organized the trail or event, or who is appointed by the highest‑ranking officer.
B. Grievance Committee: The committee will be comprised of the 4 club officers. Their responsibility is to determine the validity of any grievance voiced by any member.
This committee will decide on the proper course of action for resolving any grievance that is judged to be valid.
C. Elections: Nomination for officers will take place at the regular meeting in November. Ballot elections will be held at our Christmas party in December. Newly elected officers will assume their responsibilities in January.
D. Term: Any elected officer is not limited to the number of terms he or she may run or hold for any office.
E. Conditions: All those seeking an office are to have consistent attendance of meetings, make as many runs as possible and must be a charter member.
A. Voting: Voting in changes or ideas are made by current members at club meetings. Only elections of leadership will be held by ballot.
B. Members are expected to maintain order through out each meeting. To obtain the floor, a member must raise their hand and be recognized by the President or presiding officer. No profanity will be permitted during the meeting or on any outings/events.
C. Change of by‑laws: If a change in the by‑laws is needed any member may voice their concern. The Officers of the club will then meet on the subject. Once the officers reach a consensus, the topic will be brought to a vote for the charter members if deemed necessary.
SECTION V: Member Conduct
A. ALCOHOL AND/OR DRUGS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED.
B. Any physical violence or possession of any illegal substance is grounds for immediate dismissal from the club event and termination of membership status.
C. All members, and the guests they bring, are to conduct themselves in a manner that is a good witness to others and in brotherly love.
D. Any animal(s) brought by a member or guest to a club activity shall be maintained in such a manner as not to present a hazard or other danger to members and their guests. Animals shall be leashed or otherwise contained at ALL times.
E. FIREARMS: Conform to existing gun laws. The Trail Boss or whomever he/she designates will supervise all shooting. Persons under the age of eighteen (18) shall not be in possession of a firearm without adult supervision. Check with the Trail Boss before displaying or discharging any firearms. There is to be absolutely no discharging of a firearm in the camp area. Once again, the trail bosses word is FINAL
F. ALL MEMBERS, GUESTS, AND PASSENGERS ARE REQUIRED TO READ AND SIGN A LIABILITY WAIVER IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY CLUB ACTIVITY. (Forms will be sent by email before each run or can be obtained from the trail boss at the run)

RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT TO SON'S OF THUNDER 4X4 CLUB AND EVENT SPONSORS
In consideration of being permitted to participate in any event sponsored, promoted or directed by Sons of Thunder,
the undersigned for themselves, their, his/her personal representatives, heirs, and next of kin, HEAR‑BY RELEASES the Sons of Thunder, it's directors, promoters, sponsors and employees and/or the event staff of all liability to the undersigned, personal representatives, heirs and next of kin for any loss or damage on account of injury to the undersigned or their property or resulting in the death of the undersigned whether cause by the negligent act or omission of releases or otherwise while the undersigned is for any purpose participating in such event. It is fully understood by each of the undersigned that there is some inherent risk associated with this event, including damage to vehicles.
In addition, the undersigned AGREED TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS the released from any loss, liability or cost they incur during/to such participation by the undersigned, whether caused by release’s negligence or otherwise and AGREE TO ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY AND RISK for any bodily injury, death, or property damage from release’s negligence or otherwise while the undersigned hereby acknowledges and represent the following: (1) That he or she had read the Foregoing Release and Waiver Liability and Indemnity Agreement: (2) That he or she at all times, while riding in a vehicle participating in this event, wear their respective seatbelts, and (3) That the owner/driver has informed him or herself about the event and trail.
ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST SIGN WAIVER. For a participant under the age of 18 years of age, both parents, the parent with legal custody, or the minor's legal guardian must sign this release form and write the word “minor" and age next to the minor's name.
ENTRY AND ADVERTISING RELEASE: Vehicle owner, driver and passengers agree to permit Sons of Thunder and its assigns at no fee whatsoever, now or at any time in the future to use their names and pictures, and pictures of their vehicles for publicity, advertising, and endorsements including publications, television and movies) both before and after the events and do hereby relinquish all rights to any pictures taken in connection with the events and give their permission to publish, sell or otherwise dispose of said pictures (stills, TV, video tape or movies) as Sons of Thunder so desires all advertising rights reserved by Sons of Thunder 4Wheelers Club.
